Rental Policies
- Property Assignments
- Sail Away Vacation Rentals will make every attempt to honor the particular property assignment that you selected; however, we reserve the right to change property assignments in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as but not limited to, maintenance issues, damages from storms, sale of property, etc. If we are not able to offer comparable options to your original selection, we will issue a full refund of monies paid.
- Advanced Rental Payment
- You will be required to pay 25% of the total reservation cost, plus travel insurance premium if selected, at the time of booking. This amount will be applied to your final balance. If you make a reservation within 30 days prior to arrival, you must pay the entire balance at the time of booking. Advanced rental payments may be paid with all major credit cards or ACH payments, checks will not be accepted as a form of payment.
- Rates
- You are locked in at the rate you agreed to at booking. Rates are subject to change without notice. Adjustments will not be made to pre-existing bookings to match newly established rates or specials/promos.
- Fees
- All reservations will be assessed a cleaning fee, service fee, accidental damage protection fee, and applicable taxes. These fees will vary by reservation and property size. The cleaning fee covers all normal cleaning tasks upon your departure, additional cleaning fees may be applied if the property is found to be left excessively dirty. If you would like to have a clean performed during your stay, please contact Sail Away Vacation Rentals to coordinate.
- Final Balance Due Date By
- Your final balance will be required to be paid in full by 30 days prior to arrival. If the balance is not paid at this time, we will charge the credit card on file. Failure to pay the final balance in a timely manner will be considered a cancellation and will result in the forfeiture of all monies paid to that point.
- Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation on or before the 30 days prior to the agreed upon check-in date shall result in a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 29 -14 days of the check-in date shall result in the forfeiture of 50% of money paid. Cancellation within 14 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of all money paid, no refund will be issued. The only exception will be for those that purchased travel insurance, for which a claim will need to be filed with the travel insurance provider to ensure the reason for cancellation is covered in their policies.
- Travel Insurance Policy
- Travel insurance for your stay is available at an additional cost through Red Sky Travel Insurance. In case of certain unforeseen events, this insurance may provide reimbursement for unused, non-refundable pre-paid trip costs. Travel insurance is optional and the cost is 7.75% of your total. - Damages
- The property will be thoroughly inspected upon your departure to ensure it is in the condition that it was in upon your arrival. If any damage is detected, we reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for the cost of repair/replacement. Your reservation includes an Accidental Damage Protection fee, this only covers you in the event of accidental damage that is immediately reported to our team. This is not applicable to any damages deemed unreported, malicious, or negligent.
- Check In/Out
- Check-in time is after 4pm Central Standard Time, and Check-out time is 9am Central Standard Time. Early arrivals and late departures may be purchased for an additional fee if the property is available for such extensions. If you are found to be in the property earlier than 4pm or later than 9am without permission from the management team, the credit card on file will automatically be charged a $75 fee.
- Departure Responsibilities
- We ask that you please dispose of all trash from the property, refrigerator, and trash cans and dispose of them in the appropriate area. Please load and start dishwasher.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance Issues
- If you find any housekeeping and/or maintenance issues upon your arrival, please report them within 24 hours so that our team may handle them accordingly. No credits and/or refunds will be issued for any housekeeping/maintenance issues.
- No Smoking
- All properties are strictly NONSMOKING. Any evidence that a property has been smoked in will result in a fee of $250.00 charged to the credit card on file. Please remove any cigarette butts and ashes that may accumulate from smoking on the exterior of properties.
- Pets
- Most of our properties do not allow pets. Please ensure that you are staying in a property that is designated “Pet Friendly” if you plan to travel with a pet. Pets found in a property that does not allow them will be subjected to immediate eviction. Only one pet (dog) under thirty pounds are allowed to stay in these marked properties. There will be an additional fee of $100 applied to all reservations traveling with a pet. Please be advised that in some circumstances, there is an additional fee that is charged by the complex you are staying at in addition to Sail Away Vacation Rental’s pet fee.
- Parking
- Strict parking limits apply to each property. This number is regulated by each condominium/owner association and local municipalities. Some Associations assess an additional fee for parking. In some cases, this fee will be collected and remitted by Sail Away Vacation Rentals to the appropriate parties, but other times this may be required to be paid in person on-site. If you plan to travel with trailers, boats, campers, or RVs, you must verify that there is appropriate parking on site prior to arriving.
- Lost or Theft
- Sail Away Vacation Rentals is not responsible for any personal belongings, acts of theft or vandalism, or any other items left by guests in the property at departure.
- Occupancy Limits
- Maximum occupancy limits are posted on each property’s description. This is strictly enforced, those found to exceed the listed occupancy limit are subjected to immediate eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid.
- Age Allowed to Rent
- Sail Away Vacation Rentals is a family friendly rental company. We will not rent to persons other than adults who are 25 years old or older. The renter will be expected to closely monitor and supervise all occupants under the age of 25.
- Wi-Fi
- While Wi-Fi, either free or fee based, is provided in all rentals, we do not guarantee connectivity as it is provided through a third-party provider. Sail Away Vacation Rentals will attempt to troubleshoot where possible for internet related issues.
- Furnishings
- All properties are privately owned. The property was decorated by the owner based on their personal taste. Refunds and/or adjustments will not be made based on the furniture, fixtures, or equipment they chose. Do not remove or rearrange these items.
- Construction
- Sail Away Vacation Rentals is not always made aware of construction plans on complexes, buildings, or neighboring areas. We will do our best to advise of any construction plans that we know of, but we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience from construction in the area.
- Communication/Text Messaging
- By providing your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from our company. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
- Community Rules and Regulations
- Community Rules and Regulations for the property that you are staying at may not be listed through Sail Away Vacation Rentals. We ask that you observe and abide by the rules and regulations posted around the building/property/community that you will be vacationing in.
- Real Estate Showings
- We will try to coordinate real estate showings when the property is vacant. However, real estate showings may be required to be conducted during your stay. You agree to allow access to the property should this occur. We will provide you with 24-48 hour notice prior to the property being shown.
